THE FOUNDER

Tony Williams is a former FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFII) and Commercial Pilot who turned his passion for instructing into a career advising young, aspiring aviators in the late '90's.  Throughout the 2000's he developed into a dedicated Human Resources/Talent Management professional with nearly 30 years of experience, predominately within the Higher Education and Non-profit employment sectors. 

 

As the Founder & Chief Strategist of BDG, he specializes in providing career development strategies for professionals in various fields, including National Defense, Commercial Aviation, HR Management, Law Enforcement, International Security, and more.

​

Throughout his career he has served in numerous Career Services & Talent Acquisition roles for many high-profile institutions including Harvard University, American Airlines/American Eagle, KPMG, Accion International, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Linear Air, and more.  He holds certificates in both Organization Development and Talent Management and earned an ALB from Harvard University.

ADVISORY BOARD CHAIRMAN

Cal Williams' commitment to service began in the United States Marine Corps, during the Vietnam era, 1964-1968, where he developed the discipline and sense of duty that would guide the rest of his career.

 

He later joined United Parcel Service (UPS), building a career that spanned more than three decades. From 1968 to 2004, Cal managed both Air and Ground Operations, HR Workforce Planning, and Talent Acquisition teams for the UPS Northeast District.

 

Over the past 22 years, Cal has been a valued member of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. As a Senior Director, his work supported corporate fundraising, workplace giving campaigns, labor relations, and corporate stewardship programs while maintaining a focus on community relations.

 

Cal’s community involvement also includes over 33 years of service with the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce as a Board Member, where he chairs the Government Affairs Committee, and the Merrimack Valley Workforce Investment Board (PIC), where he has chaired the Merrimack Valley Youth Council for the past 27 years.

 

His expertise in connecting people, institutions, and community priorities are his primary focus at BDG as part of the company's planned expansion over the next several years.
